- Support the Maintenance Manager and the Field Operations Manager by maintaining the condition of vehicles and equipment. Use outside resources/agencies for maintenance in agreement with the manager when the scope of the job requires more than internal resources are capable for time, skill, labor, etc.
- Use preventative maintenance procedures and methods that eliminate downtime of vehicles. Manage a schedule of routine maintenance.
- Perform daily inspections and assist team members with troubleshooting issues with equipment.
- Use the work order system to track service schedules, repairs, and all maintenance and inspections performed on equipment and vehicles.
- Be efficient in using cost management and time management to reduce labor cost. Record labor time for each work order or assignment. Complete all records and data entry.
- Research and update procedures for maintaining equipment, safety standards, part numbers, and shop cleanliness.
- Be prepared to handle emergency requests for equipment and vehicle repair.
- Follow The Chef’s Garden procedures for disposing of oil, liquids, materials, and other trash that are created as a result of completing maintenance tasks.
- Maintain all tools and equipment provided. Be prepared to work with your own set of basic hand tools.
- Ensure a safe working environment for all team members in compliance with all federal, state and local agencies. Report safety issues to your supervisor.
- Maintain a positive work environment with clear and friendly communication.
- Keep work area clean, neat, and safe. Complete reports for safety and other operational issues.
- Completing the above responsibilities will include driving to multiple locations across The Chef’s Garden.
