Position Summary 
The Product Specialist function is designed to support the growth of sales revenues, customer and internal relationships, and increase market share and goodwill on behalf of The Chef’s Garden, Inc in the Sales Team Model. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Provide exemplary service and product expertise commensurate with The Chef’s Garden brand/ experience. 
  • Provide ongoing sales and customer service support to all customers. 
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule. 
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of The Chef’s Garden product assortment and seasonal variations through department meetings, hands on experiences throughout the farm, marketing materials, other product specialists, product managers, growers, and the internet. 
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction. 
  • Prospecting through market research and networking. 
  • Utilizing the Integrity Selling model, develop sales techniques to build rapport and effective business relationships with customers, assessing product needs, upselling, and effectively communicating services (shipping options) and customer complaints. 
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services. 
  • Identify appropriate sales contact strategy, time of day, and call frequency for each account.  Maintain customer profiles within the CRM including, but not limited to call logs and active contact lists. 
  • After-hours customer service and order entry is required to ensure timely processing and customer satisfaction. 
  • Provide insights into customer behavior and ongoing account needs. 
  • Perform any other duties necessary to meet job responsibilities and the success and profitability of The Chef’s Garden, Inc.
