The Food Truck Manager is responsible for the planning, management, and execution of the Food Truck service at The Farm Market at The Chef's Garden. The schedule of service will start at two days per week (Friday and Saturday) and may increase leading up to holidays or special events. This position is responsible for cleaning, planning, organizing, providing customer education, and food preparation.

This is a part-time, on-site position. You can anticipate approximately 20 hours per week. 
 
While every day here on the farm looks a little bit different, here are a couple of essential responsibilities that you can expect: 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
 
·        Oversight of day-to-day operations on the Food Truck 
·        Weekly production and management of menu within given outlines 
·        Execution of menu following outlined food cost target 
·        Proper and sustainable utilization of overage 
·        Maintenance of Serve Safe Certification and practices 
·        Plan for and purchase food for daily operations, maintaining inventory and keeping supplies up to date 
·        Maintain required records including food production, inventory, income/expense, meal counts and personnel records. 
·        Ensure food truck staff members follow proper sanitation procedures. 
·        Preside over any food truck employees, including cooks, food preparers, cashiers, and other employees. 
·        Ensure safety standards are maintained while food is being cooked. 
·        Prepare and serve the food. 
·        Promote and encourage a positive work environment 
·        Cleaning and sanitation of kitchen before and after service 
·        Drawer/POS management 
·        Create and maintain staffing schedules for the Food Truck 
·        Maintain equipment including refrigerator, stove, prep table and cookware.

Requirements
  • Previous Food Preparation/Cooking experience required
  • Passion for vegetable-forward cuisine a plus
